Finishing Instructions

What you receive: cabinets are supplied pre-rough-sanded. Doors and drawers are installed. Pulls are not included.

Your preparation

1. Inspect every cabinet before you start, and report any defect before you paint.
2. Let the cabinets acclimate indoors, away from moisture.
3. Do minor filling (small gaps, nail holes, grain) with a paintable wood filler.
4. Do your finish sanding immediately before painting, then remove all dust.
5. Prime with a quality primer suited to wood and MDF, then apply your paint.
6. Seal all surfaces and edges, including the inside edges of doors.

Paint or stain?

Every style shows whether it suits paint, stain, or both. Brushhollow has MDF center panels, so it is built for paint and staining is not recommended.
